Vox Realis
At just 13 years old, Seattle-based guitarist Vox Realis is already carving his place in the heavy metal world. Picking up the electric guitar at age 7, he quickly developed a passion for the giants of rock and metal—drawing inspiration from the virtuosic styles of the 1980s and legends like Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Queensrÿche, and Ozzy Osbourne.
Vox is the creator and host of the viral social media series Metal For Breakfast, where his blistering renditions of iconic solos have captivated a fast-growing global audience. He is mentored by GRAMMY Award–winning guitarist Kiko Loureiro (Megadeth, Angra), who has recognized Vox’s extraordinary talent and potential.
By the age of 10, Vox made his radio debut on Seattle’s renowned KEXP Audioasis, and earlier this year he took his sound to a national stage with an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Invited to compose and perform a solo for Clarkson’s hit “Hear Me” from her multi-platinum album Breakaway, his performance was widely praised and showcased his maturity as a player far beyond his years. His rise has also been spotlighted in Guitar World Magazine, where he was named a young artist to watch.
Most recently, Vox became the first-ever recipient of the Musician’s Institute Summer Program Scholarship for Contemporary Music, affirming his status as one of the most promising young guitarists in the scene today. Now, with his debut single on the horizon—steeped in the melodic power of influences like Marty Friedman, Joe Satriani, and “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott—Vox Realis is ready to carry the torch of metal guitar into the next generation.
